Is Site kit from Google sufficient for your goals?

The site kit is a good starting point for most WordPress users. It brings valuable Google data together without having to do a lot of work. However, whether it is sufficient depends on whether you have to receive from your analysis and tracking tools.

SEO and content knowledge

The site kit is not a SEO plugin like Yoast SEO. However, you can call up data from search console that help you understand how people find your website in the search results. This will make you an understanding of which content works well and how your website is carried out in the search results.

As already mentioned, it is not SEO plugin, so you have to install a tool like Yoast SEO in order to make a large part of the heavy lifting. Plugins like this help with most SEO tasks, e.g. B. adding technical problems, adding structured data and improving your content.

Monetarization

When you perform advertisements, the site kit shows basic ad metrics such as impressions, valued income and top-earning pages. It helps you to monitor your ads without logging into another app.

It does not support extended displays and you cannot place displays manually. It is also not possible to optimize layouts based on behavior or carry out A/B tests to find the best advertising format. If you work with several advertising networks, you need a tool that can do much more than just a site kit.

Marketing analyzes

The site kit will be fine for the report of basics. You can see trends in users, meetings, sources of transfer and commitment – all brought to you by Google Analytics 4.

However, the site kit does not offer access to campaign statistics, UTM tracking or event-based funnel. It also does not offer the opportunity to set goals or to segment traffic for behavior. For this type of knowledge, you must immerse yourself directly in GA4 or use a more detailed reporting tool. If you run marketing campaigns, track conversions or use CRM tools, Site -Kit does not provide enough data.

E -Commerce and advanced applications

The site kit will not reduce it for E -Commerce. It is not integrated in WooCommerce and does not offer an option option. It also has no access to carts, products, transactions or customer behavior. There is no way to measure things like the average order value or the conversion rates.

For an extended E -Commerce tracking, you have to set it up directly in GA4 or use other methods to access this data. Site Kit does not support this at all.

Should you use Site kit from Google?

The site kit is a good option if you want a free tool for displaying data, search and performance statistics without having to set up a number of tools. It is very easy to use and useful enough for small websites.

If you perform a huge publication or an online shop, follow custom campaigns or manage a large number of advertising accounts, the site is not reduced. This does not mean that it is useless for these cases. One of the biggest features is that the furnishings of GA4, search consoles, ad and day managers will be incredibly easy. It is a great starting point to set up your analytical toolkit.
