Last week Google launched Gemini Enterprise and although I see very few people talking about it, I think this tool is probably used by most companies.
There are two features that make it extremely useful:
1) You can use Gemini in your Google Docs, Calendar, and Gmail.
2) You can create agents that your entire team can use.
You can You can access Gemini Enterprise here. I chose the Gemini Business plan because I am a sole proprietor. My first question was whether it makes sense to use Gemini Business if you already use Gemini Advanced. It appears that there are benefits to using Gemini Business, as I will explain below.
The Enterprise version gives you a higher quota, which makes sense if you have a large team. However, teams of up to 300 people can use Gemini Business. Gemini Enterprise also gives you the option to onboard your own agents created with Google’s Agent Development Kit and has other developer-focused features like Gemini Code Assist.
Once you’ve signed up, you can access Gemini for Business by going to business.gemini.google. (It took me way too long to figure this out!)
Connection with your data
At this point you can choose to connect to your calendar, Gmail and Google Drive. You can also select other options such as: B. Jira, OneDrive, Outlook and Sharepoint.

You can ask questions about specific documents or ask Gemini to find information in your Google Drive.
Even more interesting is how you can use this to work with clients.
I conduct my customer calls using Google Meet. These are automatically saved to your Google Drive. I asked twins,
“I’m working for (client name) this week. Here you will find our most recent conversations, particularly the sections where we compared content with competitors. List all the observations we had.”
A number of observations from our conversation were used that made me realize that I can convert this into an agent.
But first let me share how Gemini completely blew me away with this conversation. At the end of the observations, Gemini noted that I had told the client that I would research what specific type of content was getting links from competitors. I had forgotten that!
So I asked Gemini for clarification.
“Would you like me to start researching now?” I mean, how is Gemini supposed to know what a website’s backlink profile looks like? I thought I would use the Ahrefs MCP for this research. But then Gemini gave me an excellent answer, which unfortunately I cannot pass on for confidentiality reasons. A chart was created with two competitors showing some of their content and the authoritative websites that link to it, and it was noted that one competitor had developed specific tools to attract links. Another uses digital PR and influencers heavily and another has created “best of” guides that are really well received.
As far as I can see, this information is correct. I don’t think Gemini looked up the backlink profiles. I think that Gemini simply has a lot of knowledge about the web and so it makes sense to provide interesting insights.
This one prompt alone probably saved me two hours of research time for this client.
The agent gallery in the Gemini store is chic. You can use Google’s pre-built agents, which just showed thorough research for me, or you can also create your own.
Let’s start with deep research.
In-depth research in Gemini Business
I am a big fan of deep research. What really surprises me about this feature in Gemini Business is that I can do extensive research on my own Google Drive.
This is a long prompt, but I wanted to share how helpful it was when it came to helping me write an article. I shared what I wanted to write about and then asked Gemini to help me do some in-depth research.

The result of this request was very, very good. I will use this as a draft for what I submit my notes (for paying subscribers) this week.
Create your own agents
From what I can see, agents in the Gemini business are gems. However, you can also line up gems in a river. I’m still learning what we can do here.
There are two ways to create an agent. First, you can simply describe what you want to create in natural language.
Let’s try it once. I chatted with the agent designer about what I wanted to create.
Gemini turned my rambling into a good request. A “flow” has been created, which is the second way to create agents – although in this case there is only one agent in the flow.
Now I have an agent who helps me analyze content that appears in AI mode and develop strategies to improve my own content so that it is more likely to appear there.
However, it didn’t work the way I wanted. It was good, but not all steps were followed. I’ll experiment with creating more agents in the flow and see how that works. Still, I see great value in these agents.
This agent actually gave me great ideas to improve my site.
I don’t see a way to share agents outside of my workspace, but I’ll create this as a Gemini Gem and share within it my notes this week.
Email agents
I wasn’t impressed with Gemini in Gmail, but the agents you can create to help you sort emails look pretty good.
This prompt showed me which emails were financial, which potential leads there were, which Amazon orders were coming in, and more:
You can ask it to go through specific tabs, such as: For example, “My Summary Updates Tab” or “Tell me which emails I have received that are likely spam.” However, you cannot use the agent to perform actions such as deleting these emails.
This is a powerful tool
I really think I’ve only scratched the surface so far. This suite of tools seems to be very helpful.
Gemini gave me a table. I asked, “Instead of a table, please write each as h3 followed by the answer.”

What is the Gemini Business Plan?
The Gemini Business plan is a paid add-on to most Google Workspace plans. It costs $20 per user per month (with an annual commitment) and is designed for teams and organizations of all sizes. It unlocks the full range of Gemini AI features in your workspace apps (Documents, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) and offers higher usage limits than the free or lower versions.
What security and privacy guarantees does the Gemini Business plan include?
If you subscribe to the Gemini Business plan, your data will be protected Enterprise-grade security which governs the entire Google Workspace. Critical, None of your prompts or company data are used to train Google’s public modelsand your data is not checked by humans. This ensures that your internal information remains confidential. Note from Marie: If you sign up for the 30-day free trial, it appears your data will actually be used for training. I don’t think that means you’re exposing your business information to the world, but rather that Google can monitor your usage and figure out and improve how well the models work. I don’t know for sure though.
Why should you as a business choose the Gemini Business plan instead of Microsoft 365 Copilot?
The decision usually depends on your company’s existing ecosystem. The Gemini Business plan is deeply integrated into the Google Workspace suite. If your team already collaborates extensively in Docs, Sheets, and Gmail, Gemini will feel like a natural extension of your workflow. On the other hand, if your organization is based on Microsoft 365, Copilot would be a more seamless choice.
Are there usage limits or other restrictions on the Gemini Business plan?
Yes, although Google states that the usage limits are “generous” and sufficient for most business needs, the plan does not offer unlimited usage. Specific numbers are not published, but the limits are significantly higher than for free versions. Other limitations are related to the technology itself; For example, there are character count limits for prompts in Google Docs and line limits for analysis in Google Sheets. It’s also worth noting that Gemini’s performance and utility can do this vary between different workspace applications.
What can my team actually do? Do with the Gemini business plan?
This plan opens up a wide range of features to increase productivity. You can use it to:
- Design and refine documents in Google Docs.
- Condense long email threads in Gmail.
- Create custom backgrounds and take advanced notes in Google Meet.
- Create project plans and track tasks in Google Sheets.
- Brainstorm marketing copy and create presentation outlines in Google Slides.
The goal is to speed up everyday tasks and creative processes that would otherwise take a lot of time.
What’s next?
I think every company will want to use Gemini for business – especially if you currently work in the Google ecosystem with files in Google Docs. I think there’s more to come. I’d like to eventually be able to use MCP to connect to our own agents, and I’d like to be able to create agents for businesses in Gemini and sell them or make them available through Google Agent 2 Agent Protocol. I think we will see that in the future.
