As a marketer, it is one of the reasons why I think it is fun to work in e -mails that we not only send messages, but also receive them. Being on both sides is a great way to get a perspective that they experienced on their list.
As a result, I will talk about whitelists from two significantly different perspectives:
- As a recipient of e -mail marketing.
- As a marketer, send an e -mail.
Here is a current example that shows why this is important: only this week I searched for a purchase confirmation for a small Sago palm that I had ordered online. It should have been in my inbox … but I couldn’t find it. I was curious when my system would arrive – and I hoped that I had actually completed the order.
I decided to check my spam or junk folder. And guess what – it was. Sigh.
I imagine I will order from this dealer again, so I decided to use your e -mail address to Whitelist.

What is a whitelistic e -mail?
A whitelistic e -mail is an e -mail of an sender, which the recipient describes as trustworthy, so that messages from this address can bypass Spam filters and be delivered directly to the inbox.
Why Whitelist -E emails?
As a recipient, you would like to receive the broadcast address of people and brands that you trust, the sending address of the Whitelist – whose messages you want to deliver to the inbox, not in the spam folder.
This could include:
- Family and friends.
- Schools, churches, volunteer organizations and other institutions.
- Care companies, mortgage companies and others who send them invoices.
- Publications that send you warnings and newsletters.
- Local and national companies where you buy.
- Others with whom you interact via e -mail.
The good news is that it is relatively easy to list an e -mail sender. Step-by-step instructions on how to do.
The exact process varies based on what you use to read your e -mail. We have detailed instructions for:
- outlook
- Yahoo
- AOL

Why are your subscribers to the whitelist ask for their e -mail?
Now let’s record our e -mail marketers.
Many of my customers send e-mail newsletter cleaning of them are subscription-based, which means that readers pay for it. What if one of these countries ends up in the spam folder instead of the inbox? We usually hear about it.
It is a professional risk of being an e -mail marketer: At some point a message that you send ends up in the spam folder. It is inevitable.
We all know what it means when your e -mail ends up in the spam folder. Images are blocked, on the left are deactivated … but that’s not the worst. Your e -mail is much, much less likely opened, read and reacts when it is diverted to the Spam folder.
And this means that even if you have written a perfect subject line, wrote a surprisingly convincing body and had a fabulous request for the plot, it doesn’t matter. The spam folder negates all of this.
Here is the thing: it is often not your fault when your e -mail ends in the spam folder. You can follow Best practices, keep your list clean and confirm that your e -mail authentication protocols are available and confirm Despite it Let your e -mail messages send to the Spam folder.
However, you can still do one thing to ensure that your e -mails reach the inbox: Ask your subscribers, your e -mail address for Whitelist.
If an e -mail address is Whitelistet, messages that are sent by this almost guaranteed the inbox of your recipient -not the spam folder. If your readers communicate your e -mail address Whitelist Whitelist with the algorithms that control the inbox and the Spam folder placement that the recipient will trust and that you want to receive e -mails from you.
This is how subscribers bring the Whitelistin her e -mail address
There is only one way to get your e -mail address whitelisted -you have to ask your subscribers to do this. This is true whether they are B2B, B2C or something else.
A whitelist request used to be a standard component of the new subscriber -onboarding process. You see it less these days, but it is still a good thing to help your messages reach the inbox.
Here is an example: Such a note is displayed on a confirmation page when the registration was completed and/or in the welcome email (do not hesitate to copy this to copy-and the link brings your subscribers back for detailed instructions on this page):
Thank you for signing up to receive e -mails from (your brand here). Please whitelist our sender address (your sender address) to ensure that our e -mails reach your inbox. Aren’t you sure how to have an e -mail address whitelist? Here are Detailed instructions From Drift Kings Media.
Here is an example from my inbox of a welcome message with a whitelist request. It is quite lengthy and it appears in the middle of a long e -mail (see the arrow I added).
The Whitelist inquiries are not just on boarding. Many organizations contain them in every message they send as a consistent memory of subscribers.
Once again from my inbox, here you will find an example in which it is in the message at the top.
And finally you will find an example here in which the Whitelist message in the footer of each sent e -mail is displayed (also from my inbox).
The exact wording of your whitelist request is not important as long as it conveyed:
- Why whitelisting is important.
- Which E -Mail address should be whitelisted for your messages.
- How the subscriber can.
Some E -Mail tools will automatically become Whitelist -E -Mail news from senders in the recipient’s address book -others. For this reason, the detailed instructions via e -mail tool are so important.

Best practices beyond Whitelisting
As mentioned above, Whitelisting is just a tool with which your e -mail messages can reach the inbox. Here are some other resources that you recommend to help you improve your e -mail marketing.
Tips and practices for delivery capacity
Whitelisting and other ways to deliver your e -mails to the inbox instead of the spam folder fall under a roof practice, which is referred to as the availability or inbox.
Entertaining fact: The availability sounds, but is completely different from e -mails that are delivered or executed at delivery price. The E -Mail delivery rate is calculated by deducting the number of bounces from the number of e -mails sent. An e -mail can be “delivered” (ie it does not jump), but not reached the inbox (instead are redirected into the spam or junk folder or simply blocked).
E -Mail Best Practices
Pretty much everything you do – from your subject line to the way the content of your message is formatted – can affect your availability. Following the best practice is a best practice for good availability.
Entertaining fact: Your e -mail should have fewer than three different fonts. It is not the case that four writings or fonts cause your e -mail to go into the junk folder, but fewer fonts offer a less overcrowded look, which increases visual attraction and readability. And when people open and click on their e -mails, the commitment is what helps their e -mail call and their availability.
List list maintenance
Anyone who is on their list, their relationship with their company and how they deal with their e -mail messages (or not) have a major impact on their availability. Calculate and spam complaints.
Funny fact: quality is more important than quantity. It sounds impressive to have a large e -mail list, but what is really important is how committed your subscribers are, not how many you have.
A list of 10,000 with an open rate of 20% (2,000 opening) is likely to have a higher availability than a list of 100,000 with the same 2,000 openings (2% open rate). It is about commitment – also known as quality, not as a quantity.
