Start creating, managing and optimizing your website

If you are just starting with the creation of a website, I know that the use of using WordPress can feel overwhelming. We were all there, so they are certainly not alone.

While WordPress has a certain learning curve, I still think that everyone can create a website – even people who have never done this before. That is why WordPress is by far the most popular way to create a website.

In order to make the process as painless as possible, you only need the right knowledge for which we have created this post. In the following I will carry you out step by step How to use WordPress to create your own website.

Table of contents

In order to offer you more flexibility when designing your website and adding functions, the Core WordPress software is very expandable. You can use WordPress plugins to add new functions to your site and WordPress topics to control the design of your website.

In the following I will cover everything you need to create your own WordPress site from zero and add your own content and plugins. In addition to the step-by-step instructions, I will also share a list of tips and tricks that I can remember WordPress while working with WordPress.

First let me answer the question that most people have when you think about your new WordPress website: What is the difference between wordpress.org and wordpress.com?

WordPress.org against WordPress.com against WordPress VIP

The difference between WordPress.org, wordpress.com and WordPress VIP has to do with who actually is Hosting Your website.

When most people say “WordPress”, they refer to WordPress.org, the home of the open source WordPress project.

However, since all three entities have their name “WordPress”, I understand that they can cause a lot of confusion, especially for people who are brand new for WordPress.

So let me break it up.

what is WordPress.org?

WordPress.org is the home of the open source WordPress software, together with many associated things such as the WordPress plug-in and topics.

If you use them WordPress.org Software, You Host your own website, which is why you also see it called “self -hosted WordPress”.

This essentially means that you buy web hosting from one of the many providers and install the WordPress software on this hosting. That sounds complex, but most hosts make this super easy and will even pre -install WordPress for you so that you can start building immediately (and I will cover the full process below).

You also have 100% control and property through your website. You can publish all the desired content, add an extension, edit the code in any way, etc. It is 100% within your control because you host the software.

what is WordPress.com?

Although WordPress.com shares the same domain name, it is a completely separate entity from WordPress.org, although many of the same people are involved in both WordPress.org and WordPress.com.

Instead of having to use your own hosting WordPress.com Offers to host your website for You, more like a software-as-a-service tool (SaaS) or a website as-as-a-service (WAAS).

You can either use a WordPress.com -Subdomain for free (e.g. yoursite.wordpress.com), or you can pay to use your own custom domain name (e.g., yoursite.com) what I think for a better approach for most websites.

An important thing that you should know about WordPress.com is that it is free and cheap plans not Give full access to the WordPress software. For example, if you want to install your own custom topics and plugins, you must at least buy them Business plan.

WordPress.com belongs to Automattic, a profit-oriented company founded by one of the co-founders of the Open Source WordPress project.

What is WordPress VIP?

WordPress VIP is a concierge service offered by Automattic, the same company behind WordPress.com.

WordPress.com Concentrates on “regular” people and companies with plans that submit with $ 45 $ 45 per month. In the meantime, WordPress VIP is focusing on offering solutions for much larger companies and organizations. For this reason, WordPress VIP also stands out as a “Enterprise WordPress”.

In order to give you an idea, some brands that use WordPress VIP contain time, meta, etc.

WordPress VIP plans are adapted to the company, but start at around 25,000 US dollars a year. So I don’t think WordPress VIP is really something that most WordPress webmasters have to think about.

How to choose between WordPress.org, WordPress.com or WordPress VIP

You may be wondering whether WordPress.org or wordpress.com better fit. Let us check a few more advantages and disadvantages that are equipped with both options so that you can make a well-founded decision.

WordPress.org Is ideal if you want full performance to adapt and control your website. Because you organize it yourself, it is 100% you and you can do what you want.

Self-hosting WordPress is also the cheapest way to access the full performance of the WordPress software, including the possibility of installing plugins and topics.

However, the disadvantage is that you are responsible for maintaining everything and applying updates. I think WordPress.org is still something that a non-technical user can process, but it is still not as easy as WordPress.com.

To make this workload easier, some providers offer managed WordPress hosting, which simplifies the process by treating updates, security and backups. This facilitates non-technical users to manage a WordPress.org site, although it still requires more effort than WordPress.com.

WordPress.com Can be a good option if you are ready to pay a little more to do everything for you. From a technical point of view, this is absolutely the easiest way to create a WordPress website. You simply register for an account and start building.

WordPress.com has a free and paid version. If you adhere to the free version, you cannot upload custom topics or plugins and have a WordPress subdomain. I think this makes the free plan for most serious websites unsuitable.

If you use your own custom domain name and want to install your own WordPress topics and plugins, you will have to pay for At least the wordpress.com Business Plan that costs $ 40 per month (or $ 25 per month if you pay annually).

If this is outside of your budget, you can create a WordPress website for cheaper by using hosted WordPress (WordPress.org). The process will simply not be quite As simple as what WordPress.com offers.

If you are looking for a company WordPress solution WordPress VIP. However, the high prices for WordPress VIP mean that it is not a practical option for most “regular” WordPress webmaster.

WordPress for beginners: How to use WordPress

There are a number of ways to create your Dream website with WordPress. Users generally find the software easy to useBut I know that the entry can understandably be intimidating if you are completely new to the process.

In the section below, I take you through the entire process of setting up a WordPress website with your choice of WordPress.com or self-high WordPress (WordPress.org).

I will cover every single step in the process, from setting up your basic website to the selection of a topic, adding content, optimizing important settings, installation of plugins and more.

So you can create your own WordPress site with WordPress.org or WordPress.com.

1. Select a WordPress plan (only wordpress.com).

At the beginning you have to choose whether to use WordPress.org (also known as self -made WordPress) or WordPress.com.

If you want to use WordPress.org, you can take the next step.

If you want to use WordPress.com, you need to choose between the Five preset plans The wordpress.com offers. There is also a free plan, but it is quite limited.

The Pricing page of WordPress.com.

I think again that most people who want to create a serious website should at least choose the business plan. You need this plan to install your own custom topics and plugins that are some of the best parts of WordPress.

However, if you do not believe that you need custom topics or plugins, I think that the personal plan is also okay because you use your own custom domain name and remove the WordPress.com ads.

2. Set up your domain name and your hosting provider (WordPress.org).

If you prefer to use WordPress.org as WordPress.com, you have to select your hosting provider and set up your domain name before you can create your WordPress website.

Before I report on the fulfillment of these tasks, I think it is important to discuss the difference between your domain name and the hosting provider.

Think about your domain name as a home address of your website. In this way, your visitors can find your website on the Internet. Your domain name looks like this: www.example.com. For example, our domain -name hubspot.com is.

Your hosting provider is like your house. Your website files are actually saved here. Without a hosting provider, your website would not have a storage space on a server. Some of the Best WordPress hosting Providers include WP enginePresent HostingerPresent BluehostPresent Rocket.netPresent DreamhostPresent WordPress VIPAnd Kinsta.

I personally use Rocket.net for my own websites. However, I realize that it may not fit the budget of the first webmaster, so that you can also consider cheaper options such as BlueHost or hosting.

How to choose the domain and hosting provider

Again WordPress.org requires You can buy your own domain and find a third-party host provider for your website. WordPress.com enables you decide Regardless of whether you want a custom domain or not, depending on the plan you have selected, but it takes care of hosting for you.

Your hosting provider is important because it affects the speed, safety and reliability of your website. There are hundreds of providers to choose from, which is why we put together a list of the best WordPress hosting providers to decide what is best suited for them. All of these providers meet WordPress’s Three basic hosting requirements:

  • PHP version 7.4 or higher
  • MySQL version 8.0 or larger or Mariadb version 10.6 or larger.
  • Https support

Make sure you meet all the above criteria.

For domain names, it is so easy to search for and buy one of your domain of your choice. Many web hosts also offer your own domain registration services, and some even give you a free domain name for the first year.

If you are new to WordPress, but have already bought and created a domain name elsewhere, you have the option to have the option transfer or Map It to your WordPress website.

Let us assume from this manual that you do this not But have a domain or hosting provider. Here you can find out how you can create your website with the popular Hosting Service BlueHost.

First go to BlueHosts WordPress Hosting page and click Show plans.

From here you will be brought to the price side of BlueHost to select three plans.

BlueHost WordPress Hosting plans.

I recommend using the Selection plus Plan whether it fits your budget, but the basic Plan is okay if you want to keep the costs as low as possible. Make sure to consider both the advertising price and the extension price when making your decision.

As soon as you have selected your plan, you will be brought to another side to register for a domain name (which is free for the first year).

So buy or select a free domain name from BlueHost.

As soon as you select your domain name, you will be brought to one side to complete your account and end information for your purchase.

I don’t think most people need one of the add-ons. Therefore, you are welcome to deactivate them. For example, BlueHost already offers free SSL certificates via Let’s Encrypt. Therefore, the premium-SSL add-on does not have to purchase.

How to end your purchase from BlueHost.

After you have confirmed your account and bought your domain, you will receive access to your hosting dashboard where you can install the WordPress CMS.

3. Install WordPress.

If you use your own WordPress hosting provider (instead of WordPress.com), you need to install the WordPress software to connect your new domain to your website.

I know – that sounds like it is complicated. But don’t worry! I think you will be surprised at how easy and not technically it is to install WordPress.

Since WordPress is so popular, most high -quality web hosts have created really simple dashboards that make WordPress installing as easy as clicking on a few buttons.

Some committed WordPress hosting providers will even present WordPress for you so that you can start immediately.

Let us continue to use BlueHost in this example. In my experience, however, the same general principles that you see here apply to pretty much any quality -word -press host.

How to start:

  1. Register in your BlueHost account
  2. Choose Hosting on the left
  3. Click Add site.

This is how you add a WordPress website to BlueHost.

Select the option on the next screen Install WordPress.

After clicking ContinueThere will be a short wait while BlueHost WordPress installed for you.

As soon as the installation process has been completed, an option is displayed Register in WordPressWhat makes her WordPress dashboard.

As I mentioned above, the process looks a little different if you use a different WordPress host, but the basic steps are the same.

For example, the WordPress installer looks at Rocket.net, a dedicated WordPress host that I use for my personal websites:

How to install WordPress at Rocket.net.

Now to step four: If your website looks good by setting up your WordPress topic.

4. Select and install your topic.

WordPress topics help you to control the overall design and style of your website without changing the underlying content.

Somehow you can imagine clothing. If you put on a new shirt, you are still “you” underneath. At the same time, you can quickly change how you look into the outside world.

Suppose you publish some blog posts and decide that you want to change your topic. After you have changed your topic, all of these blog posts will continue to be there. They are simply designed differently according to the rules of their new WordPress theme.

When you install the WordPress software for the first time, WordPress automatically uses a standard topic that looks pretty simple. Instead of using this standard topic, I recommend installing a new WordPress topic that corresponds to your preferred design aesthetics.

Select your WordPress topic.

You can find thousands of free or paid topics, so you can almost surely find a design that you like.

In the past it was common to find very niche-specific WordPress topics. For example, a WordPress topic for “Restaurant website” and another WordPress topic for “sanitary shops”.

Nowadays, however, the most popular approach to developers is to offer only a flexible basic theme and then many importable starter sites. In my experience, this is the best way to choose your topics.

Personally, I think that the selection of a slight multi -purpose topic like how AstraPresent Cadence topicor Generate is a great place at the start. I personally use generate discovery on most of my websites when you ask yourself.

All of these topics are multi -purpose (which means that you can use them for any kind of site) and contain dozens or hundreds of importable “starter sites”. Basically, this means that you import a starter site design with just a few clicks and then immediately have a nice website.

However, we also have a contribution to our favorite WordPress topics and a guide to choose your WordPress theme.

Install your WordPress topic.

As soon as you have selected the WordPress topic you want to use, you will be installed in this way:

  1. Open your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Go to Look → topics.
  3. Click the Add new topic Button above.

If it is a free topic at WordPress.org, you can install it by looking for it. If it is a first -class topic that you bought directly from a developer, you must upload the .zip file for your topic.

Adjust your WordPress topic.

As soon as you have found the perfect topic, you can install it to start adjusting. Each topic contains different steps during the adjustment process. So follow exactly this.

In general you can adapt the most WordPress topics by walking too Look Adjust. This opens the WordPress Customizer, with which you can easily make changes with the help of preset options and a real-time preview of your website.

This is how you adapt a classic WordPress topic.

If you select one of the newer “full-site processing” topics, you can adjust it by going LookThen Editor.

For further details we have a whole contribution to adjusting a WordPress theme. You can also consult the documentation of your topic developer for instructions that are specific for your selected topic.

5. Add posts and pages to your website.

If you add content to your WordPress website, it is usually displayed in the form of articles and pages:

  • Contributions – Use this if you want to create blog posts or similar content. New posts are automatically displayed on your blog list, and each post has its own public publication date.
  • Pages – These are better for static content that does not have a publication date. For example, your page “About”, “Contact” page and so on. There is no standard page on which all your “pages” are listed. However, you can add links to you via the navigation menu of your website or other areas.

For extended use cases, you can also create your own custom WordPress post type.

However, I do not recommend going this way until you familiarize yourself with the WordPress software. However, I recommend learning this at some point because it really unlocks a lot of flexibility.

To add a post to your website, go to the admin dashboard, click on Contributionsand then Add new post.

This is how you add a new blog post in WordPress.

To add text, you can simply click in the editor and start typing. For other elements – e.g. B. Images or buttons – you can add blocks to the editor.

For further details you will find a whole guide to using the WordPress block editor.

When you’re done, click on Save design To save your changes as a draft, or click on Publish To take the post live immediately.

Adding a page to your website is a similar process. Click in your administrator area PagesThen Add new page.

How to add a new page to WordPress.1

You can then add content to the block editor and Publish It when you’re done.

6. Adjust your website.

In addition to the topic you have selected, there are a number of ways to adapt your website. I think that’s a good time now to check a few options.

First you can adjust your site title. Select in your admin dashboard Settings> General. Add your website title and your slogan here. You can also switch other basic site information such as URL, e -mail, time zone and more.

So manage the general WordPress settings.

Next they go Settings> Read. This is the area where you can change the homepage of your website, which I recommend.

By default, WordPress shows her latest blog posts on the homepage of your website. However, I think that most websites, including blogs, will benefit from the creation of a static homepage.

In this way you can make sure that you bring your best foot forward when you introduce visitors to your website/brand.

You can create your homepage as I showed you above (Add pages → new page) and then assign it in this setting area.

If you want to continue to have a blog, you can also create a new “blog” page and assign it as yours Contributions page. In this way, visitors can see their latest blog posts by going yoursite.com/blog.

So add a new page to WordPress.

Outside the setting area, I also recommend adapting the navigation menu of your WordPress site. You can easily find your visitors on your website.

Here you can find out how to add or edit a navigation menu:

  1. Go to Look Tab in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Select the off Menus Option.
  3. Edit the existing menu that is delivered with your topic or create a new one.

If you use a new topic of “full-site processing”, go to Look and then editor instead. Most popular WordPress topics still use the Menus Interface.

This is how you adapt your WordPress menu.

From here you can find out what your navigation menu should look like, how many pages you want to include what you want to specify these pages and in what order you should be listed.

The exact design of your navigation menu depends on your WordPress topic.

Of course, this is only a fraction of what you can do in the dashboard – This post offers Further information on your WordPress site settings and adaptation options.

7. Install WordPress plugins to add new functions.

WordPress plugins are add-on to the Core WordPress software, with which you can add new functions to your website. This can be the frontend functionality to better recover your visitors or add new functions to your website. Or it can be backend functions to help you manage your website and your business more efficiently.

You can use plugins for small functions (e.g. adding a contact form) or large functions (e.g. your website in a fully functional online shop or online course).

With over 59,000 free plugins in the WordPress.org directory (And thousands of free and premium plugins at other locations) there are options for almost any kind of website and users.

Pretty much every single WordPress site needs plugins. This is because the Core WordPress software assumes that you will use plugins to add certain functions. For example, if you want to implement best practices for search engine optimization, you need a WordPress Seo plugin to do this.

Here is the quick overview of some of my favorite plugins for important functions that most WordPress sites need. You don’t necessarily have to install all Of these plugins, but I think you will consider to use at least some of them.

  • Drift Kings Media WordPress Plugin. Simply add pop-ups, forms and live chat to your WordPress website. You can also integrate the HubSpot -CRM into your WordPress website.
  • The SEO framework. This is one of my personal favorite SEO plugins. However, there are also several other popular and high-quality SEO plugins, including Yoast SeoPresent Everything in one SEOAnd Rank math.
  • Gravity shapes. This is one of the best Builder plugin for all-purpose form for WordPress. You can use it for basic contact forms or more advanced forms such as user registration, payments and more. If you are looking for a free solution, I think Flowing shapes Can also be a good option.
  • WP rocket. This is a great premium plugin to accelerate your WordPress site and make it more efficient. If you want a free option, you can also take them into account WP-optimized plugin.
  • Element. If you want to add WordPress a visual drag & drop design experience, Elementor is a good option. We have a contribution in which the elementor is used.
  • The event calendar. If you want to add events to your website, this is one of the best options.
  • Pilot. A top translation plugin for translating WordPress and WooCommerce. Translate press is also another great option if you don’t want to pay a monthly fee for Weglot.
  • Word. Depending on your web host, you may need a dedicated security plugin. If you need additional security, I think Wordfence is one of the top options.

To discover even more options, we have a whole contribution to the best WordPress plugins. You can also search the HubSpot blog for plugins lists for certain applications, e.g. B. the best WordPress survey -Plugins.

To install a new plugin, click on the Plugins Menu in the sidebar of your WordPress dashboard. This shows you all plugins installed on your website.

Depending on your host, you may already have installed several plugins. Note that you have to activate it after installation so that a plugin works.

How to manage WordPress plugins.

Here you can find out how to add a new plugin that you have found in the WordPress.org plugin directory:

  1. Click the Add new plugin Button (or go to PluginsAdd new plugin).
  2. Search for your desired plugin.
  3. Click the Install now The plugin button you want to install.
  4. As soon as the installation process has been completed (it should only take a few seconds) that should take place) Install now Button should change too Activate. Click the Activate Button to design the plugin live on your website.

For plugins that are not listed in the plugin directory WordPress.org, you can also upload a .zip file by to the Upload plugin Button above. Usually you use this approach if you buy a premium plugin directly from the developer.

Get the WordPress CRM plugin with which you can organize, follow and promote your leads.

8. Optimize your website to increase the side speed.

Website performance is a critical part of the user experience. If your website takes too long, visitors will not enjoy using it, and may even give up on your website and go somewhere else.

One of the best ways to ensure that your website will be invited quickly is to select the quality -word -press hosting. In general, you get what you pay for, and cheap hosting usually does not offer the same level of performance as more premium hosting (especially for high-traffic pages).

However, there are still a number of strategies that you can implement on every host to load your website faster. Here are some of the most remarkable strategies for performance optimization that must be taken into account in my experience, accelerate the dozens of WordPress website.

  • Page caching. This makes your website much more efficient by dynamically “creating” the WordPress page for every visit. In my experience, most hosts offer integrated side caching functions these days. If your host doesn’t do this, you can simply add it with one of the many WordPress caching plugins.
  • Optimize code. There are many strategies to optimize the code of your website, and how it loads, including the sliding of render blocking of JavaScript, the delay of the JavaScript version, removing non-used CSS and minimizing your code. The easiest way to implement all of these strategies is to use a WordPress performance optimization plugin.
  • Optimize pictures. By optimizing the images, your file sizes are reduced by compressing, changing the resolution and optimizing your load. You can use an image optimization plugin to automatically do this for images that you upload to WordPress. My personal favorite is Shortpixel.

If you are ready to pay for a premium plugin, I think that one of the simplest ways to implement most of these strategies WP rocket plugin. I use this plugin on my own personal websites because I find the comfort for the money.

However, if you have a short budget, you can implement all of these functions with free plugins. It only takes some time and give the setup of your website an additional complexity.

9. Let yourself be inspired by examples of WordPress website.

When you start adapting your website, you may feel overwhelmed by all options you have. Instead of starting completely from the front, it helps with other exemplary WordPress websites.

Here are some of my favorite examples for WordPress website.

99% invisible is a popular podcast that focuses on design and architecture. The 99% invisible website is elegant and modern. It offers visitors a simple navigation in order to be able to quickly access every podcast episode.

WordPress website tips and tricks

To end things, I would like to share some general WordPress tips and tips and tricks that I have created and managed in my more than 10 years, create and manage the WordPress website.

1. Hold WordPress, topics and plugins updated.

Based on my experience, you can do one of the absolutely best things you can do to keep your WordPress site safe and to work properly Keep the entire software up to date. This includes the Core WordPress software as well as all plugins and topics that you may use.

As safe and reliable WordPress is, new mistakes and security problems are always discovered (which is literally valid for any software – it is not specific for WordPress).

If these problems are discovered, they will be patched immediately. However, your website does not benefit from these patches unless you apply the updates immediately.

You can see a list of all available updates for your website Dashboard → updates.

How to manage WordPress updates.

There are two types of updates for the Core WordPress software:

  • Main actualizations – These only add new functions so that you can wait a few weeks to apply them. Main clockifications have a decimalplace in the version number, e.g. B. 4.1, 5.9, 6.0 etc.
  • Smaller updates – This includes security or maintenance corrections so that you should apply it immediately. Smaller updates have two decimal places in the version number, e.g. B. 4.1.2, 5.9.1, 6.0.2 etc.

Not all developers use the same version number format for plug -in and topics updates. For this reason, I recommend reading the changelog for every update to determine whether it contains new functions or safety/maintenance fixes.

2. If you have created your website with wordpress.com, use online support.

While I personally use WordPress myself, I think WordPress.com can be a great option for people who really want a hands-off experience.

If you pay for one of the WordPress.com plans, I strongly recommend With their committed supporthow it is another big advantage of the platform.

It makes no sense to pay a bit of a bonus if you don’t want to use any of the greatest advantages.

3. Back up and update your website regularly.

Backups sound like additional work until you have reached a technical roadblock and need hard refreshment. If you ever lose access or have technological difficulties, you have everything you need to completely restore your content.

In my experience, pretty much every quality WordPress host offers a kind of backup tool these days. However, the backups at cheap hosts can continue to be problematic, since you may save the safety version on the same server as your live site (what a big no question is to support your host if you are not sure how you do it).

If your host does not carry out daily backups And When I save these backups in a completely separate place, I strongly recommend supporting your website with one of the many backup plugins. I personally use The free plugin for BrewenBut there are many great options.

I recommend that you automatically support your website daily (or weekly if you don’t publish new content very often). I also recommend supporting your website before using any software updates.

4. Select an optimal WordPress permalinks structure.

The permalink settings of your website control the structure of URLS on your website. For example, your Permalink choice could be the difference between the URL of a blog post your page.com/06/11/post-slug or your page.com/post-slug.

Permalinks can play a role in both the user experience and in SEO. I therefore recommend choosing them carefully. You can adjust the configuration of your website by going Settings → permalinks.

For most websites I recommend choosing the Postname Structure. However, you can adjust the structure if your situation requires something else.

how to change the WordPress permalink structure.

Just make sure to change the Permalink structure on an established website, as this can have a negative impact on the SEO of your website.

For further details you will find instructions on the selection of an optimized permalink structure.

5. Understand SEO.

If you want people to actually see their WordPress website, it is important to experience SEO and implement best practices on their website.

Learn and understand the SEO bases to ensure that your website is fully optimized so that you can increase your conversions.

Explore which keywords you want to evaluate and use in your copy. You can even start a blog so that you can share your knowledge and at the same time improve your ranking.

They also make the best of Multimedia. Image old text You can give an additional thrust in photos. Visuals and video content can also break the text on your website.

Keep an eye on the performance of your website and know what is and what is not for your visitors. There are a number of useful WordPress Pluginsas well as Google Analytics software to help.

6. Create a custom homepage.

Since WordPress started as a blogging platform, the standard configuration continues to display a list of your latest blog posts on the homepage.

Even if you use WordPress to start a blog, I do not recommend doing this about your homepage.

Instead, I recommend creating a dedicated page to use it as a homepage. Then you can find your blog like in a subfolder yoursite.com/blog.

With a dedicated homepage you can create a more optimal welcome and first experience for new visitors.

Pro tip: You can present social proof on your homepage on your homepage to show your new website visitors how many other people have already seen their content. There are plugins that will help you in a few minutes.

7. Add a “About us” page on your website.

Your customers want to know who they are. Here your side comes into play. Show your visitors that you are a trustworthy person and/or a business.

“About us” pages are one of the most visited pages on websites (according to the HomePages)-it is important to introduce yourself.

Like any other page, you can create a “About us” page on your website. Just go to Add pages → new page begin.

Here are some “about us” examples that inspire you.

8. Think about what your website looks like on your cell phone.

It is no secret that people are looking for their telephones, tablets and other mobile devices on the Internet today.

All modern WordPress topics are “react”, which means that they work on different devices. If your WordPress topic does not contain any basic reaction design principles, this is a huge red flag.

However, I still recommend searching your website on mobile devices to catch problems or quirks. Just because a topic is “reaction fast” does not guarantee that you actually like what it looks like on different devices.

If your website is public, you can simply open it on your own smartphone or tablet. If it is not yet public, you can use Chrome Developer Tools to view a preview of various devices.

9. Select a CRM that works with your WordPress site.

A CRM can help you follow how users interact with your website and your company. You have the opportunity to see what offers attract the greatest attention and become leads.

Here is A list of some of the best WordPress CRM options. You can also start with Lifting spotWhat his own has WordPress integrations.

Create a website with WordPress.

I know that due to all the different terms and interfaces that you have to learn, it can feel a bit intimidating, I hope this post has shown you that it is really not that bad.

For the most part you can be in operation pretty quickly. While a learning curve is inevitable, you can really unlock this time into the flexibility that WordPress offers and build an amazing website.

Start with WordPress today – if you are like me, time will fly and you will always find new ways to get more from the platform. The earlier you start, the earlier you can unlock even more knowledge.
