3 habits to be happier
1. List 5 things you are grateful for every day
As Part of our morning ritualEvery day we list the 10 things we are most grateful for. Sure, we repeat ourselves a lot, but it’s good for our souls. When we say “thank you” for waking up, for the beautiful sunrise, for our successes, our subconscious absorbs this. We radiate a positive vibration that returns the same energy to us according to the third law of motion.
2. Say “I love you”
“She knows I love her. I married her, didn’t I?” Who wants to hear that?
No one. That's who!
Telling someone, our spouse, partner, parents, and especially our children, that we love them reminds them and us that we are lucky to have them in our lives. Do you remember the first time your spouse or child told you they loved you? Keep bringing that loving feeling back.
3. Smile and say good morning to 5 people
What happens when someone smiles at you? You smile back. Science shows that the simple act of smiling can change our mood. If we do this every day, not only will we be in a better mood, but so will the mood of those around us.

4. Go to work early and obey the speed limit
It sounds silly, even unreasonable, but for many people it begins a stressful day behind the wheel. We are amazed at the number of soccer moms driving over 40 miles per hour in school zones and the speed racers who dart from lane to lane just to end up next to us at the red light.
You have the option to make this part of your day relaxing and contemplative or enjoy some good music while dancing in your seat. Sing a little and make driving a happy time.
5. Take a 15-minute walk
Walking has several benefits. When you leave the office, you can take a break from work to clear your head or have a good conversation with someone.
Another benefit is improved health. Taking a break relieves stress, breathes fresh air and burns calories. Running at a good pace for 15 minutes will burn up to 60 calories.
6. Eat more fruits and vegetables
We can eat a bag of potato chips in one sitting. We also eat three portions of fruit and vegetables every day. It keeps us going, if you know what I mean. Both fruits and vegetables are the closest thing to eating life without swallowing live goldfish. The fresher our food, the easier it is for our body to supply our cells with sustainable nutrients.
How do we do that? Every day we eat a piece for breakfast, usually a banana or an apple. For lunch there is a piece of fruit. Finally, our afternoon snack is raw vegetables with hummus or yogurt-based ranch dressing.
4 habits to become richer
7. Log your expenses
One of the keys to being money-smart is knowing where your money is going.

If you don’t know what you’re spending money on, you’re financially unaware. How can you be wealthy if you don’t know where your money is going?
8. Make a to-do list, complete it, and cross it off
Too often our days are one long rush. Rush the kids to school, rush to work, rush to this meeting and that, rush home to get the kids, cram a meal and then rush to bed wondering why we don’t can sleep. We don’t take the time to stop and ask why it’s important Me Today.
What will help me make this day better? Write it down. Then tick it.
9. Read a personal finance or motivational blog
Another characteristic of money-conscious behavior is knowledge of what is going on in the financial world. You don’t have to be a hedge fund manager, just be aware of it. Some of our favorite personal finance blogs can be found here.

10. Add a free activity to your to-do list
Boredom and lack of planning are budget killers. Stocking up on free or cheap activities is a great way to enjoy life, save money and stay entertained. Use apps such as the Groupon app And The entertainment book to find free and cheap activities near you.
