Today from Google Quality rater guidelines Updated on September 11, 2025 with some minor changes. I think some of them are worth mentioning!
Three examples have been added to the guidelines, of which I believe they are important because they all instruct the evaluators to evaluate content that is a AI overview.
An example of an answer was added that easily fulfills the user needs:
Another was added in the section with examples that the user needs could not meet.
And a third was added to the “not to be hit” section:
We know that quality applicants not only evaluate websites but also SERP functions. These changes show us that the evaluators are instructed to also consider the content of AI overviews in their ratings.
Why is that important?
AIO answers are seen as part of the entire experience that is offered to a viewfinder. It is important that the content we have created offers much more than a viewfinder can easily get from the KI answer given by Google. In order to be viewed as high quality, your pages should offer Original Value. It’s worth it Open the QRG And the search for all places that uses the word “original” or “originality” are used. This is important for Google!
There were other minor updates, including some typing errors as well as the addition of election and voting information, topics on government, citizenship and society to definition Ymyl (their money or life).
