This morning I had a notification that I can connect to Google Drive, Google Mail and more as a Pro user. This service will be incredibly useful.
You can summarize things from your Google drive, do deep research in your Google Mail and much more.
Let me share my experiences when using these connectors.
Search in Google Drive files to summarize my newsletter
I often want to summarize my writings on a specific topic. What I usually do is to upload my last newsletter to Chatgpt and then ask questions.
Now I can simply connect chatt to my Google drive And Let it synchronize it in real time.
I then asked
Find my last 3 AI messages. You can use newsletters and summarize any story that I wrote in AI mode.
Since I used the O3 model, I was able to see Chatgpt’s thinking process:
Wow, that’s incredibly helpful:
Deep research in my Google Mail
Next I connected my Google Mail to Chatgpt.
I asked
In my last 6 months, make a profound research by customers -e emails and list the top 10 questions that my customers ask. Do not mention any customer names, brand names, e -mails or other identifiable information in the report.
(This last line is there so that I can share the results with you.)
These are just quick use that I thought of this morning, but I assume that there are many more interesting things that we can do with these connections. As always, I will tell more about how I use this tool in my community. The search bar.
What about privacy?
The obvious concern to be able to access all your Google files and e -mails is privacy. If you have a Chatgpt team, an Enterprise or an EDU account, the information drawn by your connectors will not be used for training your models. But if you have a pro plan (or finally plus, if you receive this option), you say: “We can use information accessed by connections To train our models when your setting is improved “The model for everyone”.
